“I will praise you, Lord, with all my heart; before the “gods” I will sing your praise.” ~Psalms 138:1
A lot of times I find myself whining and complaining about everything ‘not right’ forgetting the faithfulness of God in my life.
Whilst not easy, I am learning to be thankful in all circumstances. I am always asking God to give me grace to be calm in all circumstances.
In this article I will share 20 great bible verses for thanksgiving that give me so much peace.
Oh, how much joy and peace comes with thanksgiving?
Instead of saying “I hate my job”, why not say, “Lord am thankful for giving me grace, patience and resilience to handle this job”
Instead of “this house is so tiny” why not say, “Lord am thankful for the roof over my head, in your own time I know you will enlarge my territories”
By changing my attitude and applying the word of God, I find that I am more thankful. With the strength from God, I see the good in all circumstances.
It’s not easy but the grace is always sufficient. The bible says: “And He said to me, “My grace is sufficient for you, for My strength is made perfect in weakness.” Therefore most gladly I will rather boast in my infirmities, that the power of Christ may rest upon me.” ~ 2 Corinthians 12:9

A prayer for Thanksgiving
My Lord,
Oh, you are great to me!
Your grace is sufficient,
Mighty King,
Thank you for everything,
Thank you for life,
Thank you for loving me unconditionally,
Lord, in all circumstances teach me to be thankful,
In my eyes, things don’t look OK,
But am thankful,
For I know you are in control,
You know the plans you have for me,
You are my rock and stronghold,
I trust you,
I praise you,
I sing for you my Master,
I surrender all to you,
Amen
